Me and my alliance has run out of room to expand so I'm starting to shift toward building up my fleets. There are a couple home worlds within our boundaries though I'm not sure how strong the SSs are. How large/strong of a fleet would I need to take a home world without any losses?

10 to 15 junk takers will remove a starting space station. You will miss a lot your first couple of turns but should take without losing ships.
Light Dessie, med frigate, hvy frigate, mec or hec will suffice with a couple slots in hull and some dmg.

Follow up question... Does the 10-15 junk takers take out a starting SS and 3 starting scouts? Just a refresher for me... Sorry...

ss and scouts .. with 3 mf and 3 lsc .. noob I think Ive done it once. The only requirements are for the medium frigs to have good shield, hull and beam damage (no sensors) and for 2 light scouts to have 1 slot hull, 2 slot engine and 2 slot stealth with enough evasion to achieve 2% accuracy on starter ss and scouts with 20 sensors and beams. What will happen is starter scouts and ss will target your evasive scouts and miss 50% to 100% of shots fired. It takes awhile but with the ss missing a huge chunk of its firepower every tick on 2% accuracy, it can be done. If I'm remembering correctly anyway.

There are no requirements to be on the standard targeting list. The sensor/weapon requirements are for class targeting. Your MFg will be targeted.

... u wish I wish? Are you female gendered? You seem to have some practice or habit of saying that. And I like to make fun of woman fleet drivers who dont necessarily have to hit every minefield in existence -- they just like to. I think we could get along together very well. There are no requirements to be on the standard targeting list. The sensor/weapon requirements are for class targeting. Your MFg will be targeted.
They will be targeted. High speed and stealth can bump a ship to the top of the threat / targeting list more easily than ppl realize. There will be ticks where only your scouts are targeted.
