Galaxy: DM90
Leader: Khan Erwin Kerensky
Empire: Clan Steel Wolf(#7827)
Planet: Multiple/Inconsistent
Time: Sporadic/Ongoing
Nature: As I'm sending fleets around, I'm noticing occassions where I am getting 2-tick travel times (I am NOT Oomari). This is not just a display bug, as I have tested to confirm it's actually happening. The problem is that it appears fairly random, and I'm not sure where the bug lies yet. So far, I've confirmed through testing that it is NOT based on planet of destination or the planet of origin. It is also not based on the owner of planets I'm taking, as this was first identified against a Zeeb. It's just that sometimes, the default travel time appears as 2 hours instead of 3, while other times it doesn't. I'll continue checking other possible theories (fleet, individual ship, combinations, etc), but for now, I'm manually setting the times to 3 hours to avoid exploiting. Still, it can get annoying - I've confirmed over half a dozen instances in the past day alone. I'm also rather curious, especially as to whether others are getting affected.

yes. short distances and engine tech of 7 or better. Its not going to be implemented on the old map. So no need to manually set 3 speed unless you really want 3 speed!

Ah - that is good to know - I was wondering how that worked.

um ... I may be blind - I cant see that advice in the manual - perhaps some pages could be updated .. or a thing on the game's front page that scrolls news ... saying this?

Updates could be made here:

 1) http://space.zerosumgames.net/spacemanual/speciesoomari.htm
 2) http://space.zerosumgames.net/spacemanual/researchindex.htm
 3) http://space.zerosumgames.net/spacemanual/gamescreenfleet.htm
