No Holes! Cry Players

We already had two battles and holy Censored I fully expected to lose both of them. We drug ourselves over the finish lines on our nipples and eyeballs. I'm not fully sure if that expression exists in English, or any language for that matter.

That's because you always worry about everything Tongue

Funny that you should say that, I just had a message exchange with P about our fleet compo and guess what I was doing Smiley

obviously making invinci-dreads with a billion hull so my tiny drall caps will be the only ones doing damage  Grin

If I put all the slots in hull I can ensure that they survive pretty long Sad

Ok ok, I made a somewhat boomy design and signed up for Sissies Anonymous. "Hi, my name is diff and I have a problem."

Really was hoping rank 1 and 2 get it on 3 and 4 it seems where planning to mug eachother sigh. Whats with all the arranged battles now these days been back 3 gals and nobody has wars anymore. Have the days gone when u built pingers trap fleets trap planets long range pingers gens needed 24/7 ?. I am finding it strange to come back to Smiley my guess people dont have time anymore eat greys kill few lil alliances then when down to 4 alliances arrange who fights who strange. I feel the game name needs changing space glory through politics Smiley. To all about to fight gl thinking maybe rank 3 and 4 need it .

well at least for arranged battle it'll take time to build up my ss, so i can assure that i get to see my empire alive for just another day.. although if we delay too long that could be even worse for us. Undecided

if i play cat and mouse with #1 then it'll just look like they're eating us. i mean, they have more than double our tonnage...

I gotta admit that I have no interest whatsoever in spending 15 minutes every Censored hour building pingers and retake SS and Censored. That sounds like a Censored job. So arranged battle is fine by me. Not gonna change the end result anyway in this case, we're like a vintage Wirtschaftswunder era Volkswagen going up against a Leopard 2. I guess I like to halfass my spacing. Col some planets, chat about fleet design, build a couple ships, chat about diplomacy, have a bigass arranged battle, go to sleep on time, have a nice day.

Edit: all the  Censored are funny. Censored Censored Censored Censored

I retract my Volkswagon vs. Leopard 2 comparison from earlier and would like to downgrade us to "gnat vs. WW2 battleship". I'm losing caps already on tick 2, we've gotten six kills vs. 200 for them so far. This is gonna take about three more ticks, they are so much stronger than we are it blasts right through ridiculous into sad and all the way back into ridiculous again. I hope they all get annoying cases of foot fungus.

Edit: we killed 23 ships and lost everyfuckingthing. Sign-lol Shoutout to my allies again, it was a nice gal while it lasted guys!

I agree about the arranged battles thing. Personally I wont fight unless I think I have a decent chance of winning. If I dont have that then I will do the long drawn out thing and make it cost them. More often than not the bigger alliance will get careless.

It is time consuming but catching an enemy with their pants down is where the skill and the fun is. Arranged battles are fun but for most of it the orders stay the same and its just reading reports. Its always nice when you get when you get to cripple an overconfident general's fleet Smiley.

Eh, yanno how it is. You can play a nice game of chess in silence and concentration or you can play a game while making smalltalk and getting plastered. Of course the first is more challenging and allows you to acquire and display more skill, but both types can be fun.

I agree they both can be fun but space isn't just about eating and space battles and thats all im seeing the past few galaxies. The tactical element of space was what, at least in my opinion set it apart from other games of the type.

Couldn't agree more.

Just gotta say though, that was a really ballsy move making an arranged battle with an alliance with approximately 170 less systems than you, and they were at an obvious disadvantage in every way.   Roll Eyes

even if we played cat and mouse the end result we figured would still be the same. everyday #1 will pull farther and farther ahead, and we have even less chance. so we just thought we could save the hassle and do an all or nothing to get it over with.

although to be honest i thought we would kill more than just 23 destroyers and escorts Tongue we didn't have high hopes for ourselves, but i didn't think it would end up that badly, with 2 gorgoths and all. but guess we shouldn't complain, we already pulled two miracles this gal.
