Hello Dave.

« on: September 02, 2008, 08:15:46 PM »

We hope to address most methods of farming through coding directly in the game. However in the interim, we will have to rely on game rules. Farming is hereby declared Illegal. First of All a definition.

Farming: A group of gameplay practices where one account is used to better the chances of another account or accounts at its own expense.

here are some examples:

At the beginning of the game, one ally gives another ally or the whole alliance all its colonized planets and all his money, without expectation of receiving in return, or planning to delete/go inactive.

A neighboring enemy (or a former ally) destroys all the buildings on his planets to make them easier for the farmer to conquer.

A neighboring enemy (or former ally) feeds his ships to the farmer so that they can get the salvage and battle points, basically a battle where the outcome is a forgone conclusion.

Although these are all examples of farming, there is a grey area surrounding each. There can be circumstances that change the situation from farming to not, or vice-versa, Therefore farming will be judged on a per-case basis.

How to not be a farmer: Always do whats in your own and your alliances best interest.

If you have a situation that might be farming and you are unsure, please send the Game Administration (MoM and I) a pm.
